- Build in suit: whenever possible, build sequences in the same suit. Only same-suit runs move as complete stacks, which is crucial for clearing space — mixed-suit sequences are temporary scaffolding, never the plan.
- Expose hidden cards: your primary goal in the early game should be flipping as many face-down cards as possible. Every new option roughly doubles your future moves.
- Empty columns are gold: an empty column is your most powerful tool. Use it to temporarily park cards while you reorganize your main stacks — but fill it deliberately, because an empty column you cannot refill is a wasted one.
The Deal Rule Beginners Break
Never deal a new row while any column stands empty — the cards fall into the gap and bury your slow-built sequences under randomness. Similarly, avoid dealing when a same-suit run is one move from completion; finish the run first, clear it triumphantly, then deal into the space it leaves.
